ECDA "Start Small Dream Big" : Content Compilation

How to manage 300 different preschools centres and compile stories, photo captions and texts into one comprehensive book?

Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) is an autonomous agency that serves as the regulatory and developmental authority for the early childhood sector in Singapore. The book compilation is part of the annual project, Start Small Dream Big, started in 2015 to build early childhood community that inculcates good values in our children and encourages them to give back to society.

Prior to using p;log yearbook management solution, the small team has to liaise with more than 300 preschools and read through endless email threads. They also have to design the pages, vetted the texts and made sure that the book looks good. With the online platform, all centres were given access to upload photos, typed out the text and photo captions within a limited text count. They were also able to make and view the changes instantly which helped to compile 300 different stories of preschoolers doing good to the community.

With the collaboration, ECDA was very happy with the outcome as they would not need to liaised with the different centres as often as before and this allowed them to concentrate on vetting the book and prepare for the project ­finale at ECDA conference.
