P;log wins SICC’s 2019’s ‘Most Transformational Collaboration Award’ with German European School Singapore

The Singapore International Chamber of Commerce (SICC) Awards for Collaborative Innovation seeks to recognise laudable commercial collaborations that drive business innovation, learning and growth. p;log and German European School Singapore’s (GESS) successful collaboration was the recipient of this prestigious award in 2019. Kirsten Moench, GESS’ marketing manager, expressed that this collaboration was a successful demonstration of how partners can work together to “transform their businesses”.

In 2018, GESS moved to their new campus to Dairy Farm Lane. This enabled them to expand their student intake from 1,500 to 1,750, subsequently increasing the school’s internal communication demands to a level that was difficult to manage.

“The marketing team was overwhelmed by internal ad-hoc requests,” Moench reported. “We had very limited time to focus on our core tasks which is actually marketing. We were searching for solutions; how could we invest more time in external marketing?”

This is where p;log, GESS’ long-term partner in the creation and production of the school’s annual yearbook, stepped in with the offer of their cloud-based services to facilitate GESS’ internal requests. Charmaine Toh, head of business of p;log, expressed, “We saw an opportunity to take our internal solution to GESS and help them standardise their processes and generate efficiency.”

GESS was receptive to p;log’s offer and began working together to explore new options. As such, p;log’s implementation of its cloud-based solution streamlined the management of GESS’ internal affairs, such as by resolving its overproduction of yearbooks, facilitating the production and dissemination of marketing collaterals, and much more.

These solutions are ultimately possible because of p;log’s online platform, which provides users with automated digital solutions that resolve inventory issues, improve work efficiency and supplement missing manpower. p;log’s platform itself is continuously being refined and adapted to accommodate its changing business needs.

“We are very driven by our core values, and that opens up a whole new world of possibilities,” comments Toh. “We are constantly trying to see the gap and how we can come in and solve them through our cloud-based solution.”

p;log has present plans to implement their cloud-based solution across education sectors both locally and abroad to reach a larger target audience. Toh believes that p;log’s intuitive and versatile cloud solution has the potential to be implemented across all industries, a promising goal to be achieved sometime in the future.

And the secret behind p;log’s success? Size does not define potential, Toh aptly puts. “p;log is a very small company, but being small has its advantages. Our team members are very grounded to our core values and we work towards our common goal of prospering the business.”

Toh also touches on the importance of staying relevant in Singapore’s rapidly evolving technological landscape. p;log’s diverse team has contributed to its adaptability, where non-traditional mindsets are greatly valued and taken into consideration.

“[our employees] are the ones who come forward and say, ‘why can’t we do this?’” Toh expresses. “Then we’ll just say, ‘yeah, why not? Let’s try this.’”
